| There's a sea otter in this picture, really. Too much glare on the water.

| This is a slightly better shot of a sea otter. He came over towards us like he knew he was supposed to be showing off for the tourists. Between the glare and lack of a real zoom I couldn't get a good picture.
| Just rocks. Point Lobos was the first place where the character of the water started to change; you can see some of the turquoise color in this picture.

| We climbed down to this incredible cove where gentle waves washed up on a beach of black stones. The sounds of the waves were intermingled with the sound of the stones gently rolling over each other as the waves pulled out. John took a few stones from the beach before we found out that you're not supposed to take any stones from the beach.
