| Description | A Windows 95/98/NT-only client, with improved bitmaps (8-bit), smoother animation (32 ship positions), cool-looking explosions, and more. Still immature, but possibly the best client for Windows users. | ||

| Description | The first netrek client written entirely in Java, currently in beta
testing (as of 10/28/97). It requires a Java Virtual Machine, version
1.1 or greater; it does not run under a Web browser (at
least yet). It is recommended that only people who know what they're doing
use this client at this time.
The client does not yet support RSA, so it will be kicked out of most servers. |
